Design Services
Developing a landscape plan is the process of converting your Dreams into Reality. Whether you have a new residence with no landscaping or an existing home in need of landscape modifications, Professional Grounds, Inc. your Northern Virginia Landscape Contractor can find your solution. We will make 'coming up the driveway after work' or 'stepping out your back door' an enjoyable experience.

We design and install landscape projects, both large and small, for residential and commercial sites. Contact us to schedule an on site landscape consultation with one of our highly qualified, dedicated, and friendly Landscape Design Associates, Landscape Architects or Landscape Designers.


Set the appointment
Time is of the essence and in today's busy world we all face never having enough of it. That's why we're committed to returning your call in a timely manner, answering any questions you may have, and setting up a convenient appointment time to meet and discuss your project.

Our experienced office personnel will be happy to take your calls and help you when you call. We are open Monday - Thursday 7:00 am to 4:30 pm and on Fridays from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.

Our initial consultation is a no-cost, no-obligation meeting with one of our qualified and friendly Landscape Design Associates. Now we can start to get serious about converting your dreams into a reality and building a relationship with you, our valued client. After we understand your vision, we will work with some of our own ideas that fit with your needs. We’ll also take measurements and making any necessary site notes to document the details your project. At the time of our visit a current copy of your property plat would be helpful to ensure we have accurate information on property boundaries and existing structures.


Preparing the design & proposal
We have a passion for design and, more importantly, making your dream a reality. Some projects require little or no design and can be handled with a written estimate during our first consultation. Smaller projects may also allow for your Landscape Design Associate to finalize our proposal within three to five days of your appointment or your Landscape Design Associates may do a quick "notebook" sketch for you for a small fee.

Some projects, however, require an in-depth layout and study of your project. Our designers can transform your dreams on to paper in a detailed and scaled design, along with an itemized estimate, which will allow you to accurately see what plants and materials will be used to achieve your dreams.

Our designs can be illustrated and drawn to scale to show just what we are planning for your outdoor area. When you decide to purchase a design / plan from Professional Grounds, Inc. our design fees can range from $500.00 to $3,000.00 or more, depending on the size of project and time involved in creating your design. The benefit of having the design drawn by Professional Grounds, Inc is clear, you can work with a Landscape Design Associate that will be with you from the first consultation until the final walk through and for years to come. You have one point of contact that will manage your project with you and your property in mind.

As an additional incentive to our Design Clients, who choose to have Professional Grounds, Inc. bring their plans to life we provide a refund up to the total design fee paid to be credited towards the installation of your project. Ask your Landscape Design Associate for details!


Presenting your vision
This is the point in the relationship where things get exciting… you are close to having the work begin!

Once we have completed the design, we will present it to you for your review. Of course there may be some final changes, but if we’ve done a good job of listening to you and understanding your needs, those should be minimal.

Now we're ready to build! Watch daily as your property changes as we install your work. At anytime you have a question, just talk with your Landscape Design Associate or call our friendly office staff during our office hours. This is the benefit of one point contact with Professional Grounds, Inc and your Landscape Design Associate.


We Start to Build Your Dreams
Finally, your dreams are ready to become reality.

We'll now send one of our professional landscape installation crews out to install your new landscape. Our crews are courteous, hard working and considerate of our clients as well as their homes/ property and go out of their way to provide you with the landscape of your dreams. You and your Landscape Design Associate will work hand and hand to ensure that your dreams are turned in to reality.

When they are finished, you and your Landscape Design Associate will walk your project and answer / address any questions you may have. Now your new landscape project will be complete and ready for you and your family to enjoy for today and years to come.
